Boston, Massachusetts will be the newest location of a mock “large-scale terrorist attack” this weekend at Fenway Park, the home of the Red Sox this weekend. The Department of Homeland Security, will partner-up with the Boston Police Department along with the US Army Armament Research, Development, and Engineering Center to engage in a full fledged drill. They will stage an active shooter scenario in order to send in the practice squads to determine how they will react and respond.
Sunday morning will begin with simulated explosions and high decibel gunshot rounds being fired off in this populated area. they will begin at around 7 a.m. and last until 1 in the afternoon. The terrorist repelling mob will be utilizing multiple security measures like metal detectors, trained canines, and drones.
Red Sox Director of Security and Emergency Services Charlie Cellucci reassured the public by saying, “Fan safety is a topic we continually discuss and evaluate, and by participating in this exercise, led by Boston Police alongside state and federal agencies, we hope to gain valuable insight that may help enhance how we keep visitors safe at Fenway Park.”
Department spokespersons are also stressing that there will be no danger to the public and that it’s just a practice run and safety and security will be upheld. Casting calls have been sent out to the locals in search of volunteer participation in this event.
We recently reported drills and riot reenactments being conducted by FEMA and DHS in central Texas. Special forces from 15 different countries got together in Tampa to put on a show while running a full-scale terrorist drill. A recently released report that verifies that the United States is preparing for full-scale riots of some kind in the near future.
