Bridgeport, Connecticut: Monday morning Dontrell Brown went to his neighborhood police station to simply request a complaint form. What he got was a verbal assault and forced exit from an irate public servant. The officer approached him in a very mean manner, Yelling! “You are not part of the public” and after repeatedly refusing to leave the lobby, where he has a right to be, the officer then utters into the camera “You’re gonna do what I told you, or you’re gonna find that a public servant is a very hostile individual”.
“You’re gonna do what I told you, or you’re gonna find that a public servant is a very hostile individual”.
So with no other choice and being behind enemy lines, surrounded by men with guns he chose to leave in a peaceful way without threats or raising his voice. Sergeant Devone pushed around his indoctrinated authority in a rude and tactless demeanor. This is their way of regaining the hearts and minds of the people they serve. With these types of encounters, the relationship between police and the public will never be repaired. The non-emergency number to the Bridgeport PD (203-581-5100) [adinserter block=”1″]
