The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are scratching their heads and looking to step in and gain more control of the election process. With the FBI recently uncovering an alleged cyber attack and one possible attempt on a couple different state election boards, now has the DHS claiming that it can be considered as “critical infrastructure.” This would give them the similar grip of control to obtain the full security like it holds over the electric power grid and Wall Street.
The unproven hacks on these certain election stations will be used as a spring-board to step in and monitor the elections, possibly as soon as the November presidential when some people go the polls to choose a new leader. In addition there will be separate state elections and propositions that are none of Big Brother’s business so these could be swayed or tampered with. When the government touches something it usually goes awry or is swung in their favor with the consequences and casualties unimportant to them. They don’t even think about how a poll location riddled with dark dressed federal agents will be sure to repel many who seek to cast their ballot.
DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson said, “We should carefully consider whether our election system, our election process, is critical infrastructure like the financial sector, like the power grid.” He mentioned it a few weeks ago too at a media conference, “There’s a vital national interest in our election process, so I do think we need to consider whether it should be considered by my department and others critical infrastructure.”
According to the DHS website: “There are 16 critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are considered so vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof.”
The policy directive from the White House says, “The federal government also has a responsibility to strengthen the security and resilience of its own critical infrastructure, for the continuity of national essential functions, and to organize itself to partner effectively with and add value to the security and resilience efforts of critical infrastructure owners and operators.”
Johnson complained that his biggest concern was that there is not a central election system, because the separate states run their own. Secretary Johnson blabbed, “There’s no one federal election system. There are some 9,000 jurisdictions involved in the election process.” He concluded, “There’s a national election for president, there are some 9,000 jurisdictions that participate, contribute to collecting votes, tallying votes and reporting votes.”
With Big Brother stepping in to surveil and oversee the elections that are supposed to be operated by the states, this shows that another coveted duty is that target of federal control. The States were designed to be their own nations, (The Constitution was ordained and established by the people of the United States for themselves, for their own government, and not for the government of individual States) Now once again they are penetrated by a federal government overstepping their boundaries. Even though the system is rigged, this will make sure it stays that way, nothing will get past the extra unnecessary dark entity that Bush Jr. set up in the guise of safety. Will the states just bend over and take it or will they kick them out?
