DALLAS News8 — A patient in a Dallas hospital has been confirmed to have the deadly Ebola virus.
That person has been held in “strict isolation” as he or she was evaluated for possible exposure to the virus.
This is the first case of Ebola confirmed in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control will hold a press conference at 4:30 p.m. in Atlanta regarding the diagnosis.
In a statement issued Tuesday night, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas said the patient was admitted based on symptoms and “recent travel history.”
The hospital, located at Greenville Avenue and Walnut Hill Lane in northeast Dallas, said it’s complying with all recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the Texas Department of Health to ensure the safety of other patients and medical staff.
Dallas County Health Officials today told County Commissioners that the threat of a North Texas outbreak are minimal, and while the mainstream media has cited a CDC source, saying that Ebola is not airborne, a 2010 CDC factsheet states clearly that
“…all Ebola virus species have displayed the ability to be spread through airborne particles…”
The fact sheet goes on to say that “…this type of spread has not been documented among humans in a real-world setting,
such as a hospital or household.”
Unfortunately, thanks to decisions made by the regime in Washington DC, all we can do now is hope.
