FBI Director James Comey recently gave a testimony in front of the Senate in which he spewed his stern iron-fisted arguments that the almighty government that employs and steers the spy and law enforcement automatons need the ability to break down the rest of what was once our 4th Amendment and trample on our right to privacy. He wants unlimited, and unwarranted access to absolutely everything we send or store in any electronic format. This would include email, text messages, computer hard drives, the so-called i-clouds, and more, all in the name of safety. The same regurgitated gibberish like many others in government today, Comey is adamant in his belief that constitutional privacies should take a back seat to national security that has been close to non-existent.
The Senate Judiciary Committee titled the discussion with their co-worker “Going Dark: Encryption, Technology, and the Balance Between Public Safety and Privacy.” Comey said that in order to try to stay one step ahead of terrorists, international, and domestic criminals, that Big Brother’s multiple law enforcement and surveillance departments should have access to all the technology needed to de-encrypt protected data with the government being the deciding factor when decryption is necessary.
During the hearing, several technology experts cautioned the committee that by granting the FBI limitless access to personal electronic data of all Americans would definitely expose it to exploitation by “bad actors.” Director Comey shook his head and disagreed.
Comey explained “It is clear that governments across the world, including those of our closest allies, recognize the serious public safety risks if criminals can plan and undertake illegal acts without fear of detection. Are we comfortable with technical design decisions that result in barriers to obtaining evidence of a crime?”
Comey is cut from the similar tyrannical cloth as other governmental puppets before him, more specifically since the creation of the global war on terror. With the firm belief that we ought to give up more of our individual and constitutional rights as the only remedy for them to keep us safe.
Comey had a bit of a programming glitch by saying that these requests would still fall under “requirements and safeguards of the laws and our country’s founding document.” Without a doubt, most Americans now know, that spy agencies under the past two administrations have been increasingly assigned to conduct warrantless surveillance of any and all citizen’s electronic communications and data. Congress, the last line of defense for its vulnerable constituents have resoundingly accepted the surveillance state by consistently voting along with these administrations and corrupt agencies. So we are to just comply, take the handshakes, thumbs-up, and smiles from our elected back-stabbing hypocrites.
These rouge far-reaching government tentacles are required to perform their fascist duties according to the sugar-coated laws that were placed upon us unwillingly by the ringleaders in D.C. The Patriot Act, NDAA, and executive presidential directives like Bush Jr’s warrantless surveillance programs after 9/11 were handed out like candy to the hungry hounds of his regime and continue today in an even more oppressive environment.
Comey yammered “We are not asking to expand the government’s surveillance authority, but rather we are asking to ensure that we can continue to obtain electronic information and evidence pursuant to the legal authority that Congress has provided to us to keep America safe.” So Comey is implying that ‘We the People’ are all domestic terrorists, wanting the unlimited power to corral and contain the American people is a complete act of war against us! Little by little these collaborators are sent out to poke and prod at our Freedoms, successfully obtaining their goals under the dense fog of distractions.
