Gun Confiscation Law and Firearm Purchase Freeze Enacted In California

Do you have a family member in California that you are in a quarrel with? Or simply just don’t get along with? What about a criminal family acquaintance that wants to get you but he or she knows that you have personal protection tools? Don’t worry, now in California you can disarm a person by tattling on them and persuading a judge in an anti-gun state that they ‘might’ hurt themselves or somebody else. The judge can then escalate the situation by sending a group of armed authoritarians to trample on the 2nd and 4th Amendment rights of the citizen in question.

Once they enter the home, based on information from a snitch they can seize all firearms and ammo for a state mandated 21 days to put them and their family in a defenseless situation. To make things worse you are immediately placed on a no-purchase list for guns or ammunition for the same duration.

Los Angeles Assistant Police Michael Moore told a local radio station “The law gives us a vehicle to cause the person to surrender their weapons, to have a ‘time out’ if you will, it allows further examination of the persons mental state. It’s a short duration and it allows for due process and, it’s an opportunity for mental health professionals to provide an analysis of a person’s mental state.”

The forced removal of your guns out of your home by the State so employees of the State can asses your mental state, hmmm how extremely pissed off are you going to be by being legally burglarized.

A San Diego State professor and lawyer Wendy Patrick stated that “It’s the family members, it’s the people closest to the perpetrator who are in the best position to notice red flags. ”

Gun Owners of America, Sam Paredes who represents the California branch exclaimed ” We don’t need another law to solve this problem, we think this just misses the mark and may create a situation where law-abiding gun owners are put in jeopardy.”

Draconian Tyranny like this in an already anti-gun state is a recipe for disaster, the threat of disarming citizens for any reason is unjust and intrusive.  The founding document that was written to protect people from tyrannical governments is still respected by many in the patriot movement. Will these fellow Americans stand up against the state when one of their own is targeted for gun confiscation?  I believe it’s a resounding Yes. Unfortunately this will most certainly be the shot heard around the world, the 2nd Amendment is the one thing in the Bill of Rights that fights back with the ingredients contained within.
