The McDonald’s in Amarillo, Texas is using its kid-friendly appeal and the Psychology of appetite stimulant colors such as red and yellow to host a free Vaccines Day at the restaurant. With cooperation from the City of Amarillo’s Department of Health, This past Sunday February 8th from 9-2 The Caring for Children Foundation of Texas had a colorful mobile vaccination van out front with plenty of balloons and candy. The requirements were only an Immunization record and proof that you can’t afford it not covered on insurance, or happen to be a Native American. 18 and under must have a parent or guardian present. This carevan.org program offered the free injections of the following:
Flu Shots,
Meningococcal: 7th and 8th graders
Varicella: K, 1st and then again in 7th and 8th
Tdap booster: 7th and 8th grade
MMR: Kindergarten and 1st grade
Hepatitis A: kindergarten and 1st grade
What a great way to prepare our children for a lifetime dependency on pharmaceuticals by offering a free shot with Burgers and Shakes. The Executive Director of The Caring for Children Foundation of Texas, Craig Jeffrey praises the work they do. Founded in 1997 this (501c3) program is alive and well, and on the website they cheerfully display their “over 1.1 million vaccines to over 754,000 children through December 2014.” After a little research I discovered that Jeffrey is also the Director of Special Programs for Blue Cross Blue Shield, that coordinates community projects. There is a Shadow subsidiary of BCBS that goes by the title Horizon Blue, which when I looked further has closer ties and associations with…wait for it…Merck! the giant vaccine manufacturer. They were even listed together as clients for Sitar Realty Company along with McDonald’s.
This is an ongoing program with all the dates and locations listed on their website carevan.org, with upcoming dates being held at Apartment complexes, Churches, and the Sugarland “Watch your Wellness Event. The Injection Van being present at Springwoods High School in Houston, the Student Services Center in Garland, and the Lawson early childhood development center in McKinney, are the most troubling because of the underage boys and girls in attendance. Are all the parents and guardians going to be present to either sacrifice or shield their children from these heavy metals?Another chilling discovery was on a BCBS website and the EL Paso newspaper saying that the list of following people are urged to get immunized: Pregnant women, persons 25-64 with chronic health disorders or weakened immune systems, chronic heart disease and lung disabilities, and all people over 65. Jeffrey was quoted a few years back during the Bird Flu scare as saying “There are reports coming out of Asia of a new strain of the bird flu cropping up,so it would be wise for parents to be proactive in getting the flu shots, not only for themselves but their children as well.” All this while pushing the new “Flu Mist” nasal application. At a 2008 Golf Tournament to raise money for the Shot Van,the Speaker Craddick from Midland said ” 1 in 4 children go without immunizations in Texas, the Care Van program fills the gap by visiting schools, churches, restaurants, shopping centers, and other places to bring immunizations directly to Texas kids. Nadine and I are proud to support the worthwhile effort,” It turned out the Golf outing Raised $590,000 dollars for the Mobile Injection Van. If Vaccines were so great, safe and effective they would not be free and pushed on Children by using the ice cream truck method.
