What can you expect at Super Bowl XLIX this year? How about a pair of F-16 fighter jets and a Black Hawk helicopter to start. They will be enforcing a 3 mile no fly zone and that even includes drones of any size. Taxpayers last year footed a bill of over 3 million dollars and with this year’s increased security we can imagine it being a lot more. This league makes over 10 billion dollars annually and pays its top officials salaries of over 50 million each. Why then can they not manage to pay for their own security? The Department of Homeland Security has already granted the NFL immunity from any legal action in the event of a terrorist attack. I guess it must be nice being a multi-billion dollar non-profit organization.

They always find excuses to play with their toys, but we foot the bill for gas, maintenance, wages, insurance etc. It must be nice to spend someone else’s money.
