MARION COUNTY, OREGON Property owners in rural Oregon who are providing a refuge for families and or friends that were displaced by the region’s housing crisis have been told to stop, cease, and desist.
Renee Glass, a kind woman in the rural area of the county has been voluntarily helping her fellow friends and family in need by opening up her private property to them. They parked their camper along-side her barn and hooked up a temporary water hose, sewer, and an extension cord. Now the tactless county code enforcement division are proving once again that private property is not owned by the individuals. Paying eternal rent on their land is not enough for these controllers, they now say that she is in violation of an unjust county ordinance.
KPTV – FOX 12[adinserter block=”3″] Glass cried “I was shocked, they’re here because they can’t afford to pay park rent. They’re here because they have family, support, friends.” The notice dictates that any recreational vehicle cannot be lived in on her property for more than 120 days with a specific rule that it also can’t be fed utilities. Glass states that the people she’s helping have not been there over 120 days. Her neighbors are also being ordered to cease assisting their fellow humans in need by housing them on their private property.
Marion County has a homeless problem, according to them they have 1600 or more people who are homeless in the county and that the affordable housing waiting list contains in excess of 10,000 signatures on it.
The teary eyed Glass whimpered, “Where are these people going to go? You kick them out off of private land. Where are they going to go? I feel sorry for them.”
She said “If I pay a thousand dollar fine, are they going to give that money to Section 8? Are they going to give them food?” A spokesperson from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, who are going to be the enforcers of this human rights atrocity are saying that the county is willing to work with the property owners and are considering giving them extensions, but they have to be in constant communication. Checking in to your local law enforcement agency like a criminal checks in with their probation officer is the only way to possibly extend their kind-hearted, voluntary, good Samaritan actions. Property owners do not own their land they just lease it from all the taxing authorities that fund the politicians, sheriff’s departments, police, and the federal government goons who enforce all the rules made by another person who lives near you. These trampled on residents should research land patents after looking at breaking the chains of US citizenship by becoming a State National.
