DENISON, TEXAS – The Denison police have set up a new police supervision spot and they’re calling it a “safe place” to meet people when you buy, sell, or trade your goods. This ‘Exchange Zone’ is at the Police Department and will be under 24 hour surveillance. Once again another open arm idea to track the citizens movements and transactions, just steps away from armed authoritarians.
Online shopper and frequent Craigslist user Nick Flewallen a Denison resident said. “I like it, I think it’s a good idea. I’ve bought cars on there, I’ve sold cars on there, I’ve used it for furniture, all kinds of stuff.” He said that he has heard of some people who were cheated before, or merchandise being taken without receiving the money.
Flewallen continued with “A friend of mine that was buying a motorcycle and the dude took off on the motorcycle, with the money. They called the laws and they caught him on one of the toll ways in Dallas with it.” He added “Hopefully it’ll get more people using Craigslist and sites like that.”
This is just another attempt at a kind gesture for all the overreach that takes place, and giving them another reason to remain monopolized. I would not want to exchange cash for goods while avoiding taxes on a surveillance camera steps away from a police department. They can get license plates, registration tags, and use their facial recognition software to assist in their citizen round-ups. Also it further instills the ‘need’ for a babysitter (State) to help you in your everyday life. If government would just lift all the restrictions on self-defense tools there would be no need for police supervised adult transactions. Denison Police Lt. Paul Neumann came out with his fear campaign to sell the new Orwellian idea, by using possible death and for your safety to enlarge the dark umbrella of population control.
Lt. Neumann stated “People have responded to Craigslist and ended up deceased, or had their money taken or assaulted. They can also use it for court ordered visitation for parental exchange.”
Lt. Neumann claimed that the Denison PD learned about this from other police stations, and adamantly says it’s all about safety.
Supposedly ‘The Exchange Zone’ was developed without having to take any more money from the tax payers, and they take pride in offering the 24-hour video surveillance. I asked The Lady Federalist an online radio host and blogger for her insight on this implementation, she stated “I’ve heard of these, and folks seem to agree with the Mr. Flewallen that they are ok. The question I have is this – how will Denison PD (or any PD/SD) behave if something fishy goes down? Are they monitoring these transactions live? Or are these just spots to keep honest people honest? Sure, someone with evil intent will refuse to meet at one, but what if someone does meet here and the transaction goes south? Will the cops react immediately, or will they pull the paperwork trail and use the excuse that the spaces are offered as a service, with no warranty or guarantee?”
