Surveillance Video Catches Cop In A Lie, Now Man Fights To Clear His Name

HOUSTON TEXAS: Deceit has been proven again, on April Fools Day Julian Carmona was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault. The cop, William Wright slapped the cuffs on Mr Carmona allegedly pointing a gun in the direction of the off-duty officer.

Carmona and his lawyer have obtained an exterior surveillance video from the convenient store that establishes the facts. The police report that officer Wright perjured states that he came in contact with Carmona while he was exiting a gas station and saw Mr. Carmona pull in. Within the report, Wright also states that Carmona dropped his firearm while getting out of his truck and that he picked it up and pointed it at him a second time which lead to his arrest.

An examination of the video footage shows a distinctively different story.

Carmona’s Attorney Jed Silverman argues that “It absolutely, unequivocally does not happen. The officer stated that in the police report that my client pointed the gun at him and it ain’t even close.”

Carmona says that he keeps a legally carried firearm in his truck and that he has a concealed handgun license. It accidentally fell so he picked it up and placed it back in his truck. He adamantly states that he did not point it at the off-duty police man, especially because he was with his two kids that were seated inside his truck.

“What’s it going to be if they try to put me in jail for something I didn’t do? I said my kids are in the truck. I said just stop please stop, don’t do this. You’re scaring them. I don’t want them to get scared,” Carmona said.

Carmona is now in a battle to exonerate himself and expects the video will help him to get his charges dropped.

Carmona said, “Thank god for that video, that it’s there. Otherwise, I don’t know what would happen. I just don’t see how he has a heart to lie.”

Again and again these public servants have spewed untruths, consistently leading to innocent men and women to the path of incarceration. The video surveillance cameras installed for security against criminals are doing their job. By not only capturing civilian wrongdoers, but catching cops who repeatedly lie to save their ass.
