More red tape from the Feds that will end up costing us more freedom. Meet “The REAL ID Act of 2005” which:
“Establishes minimum standards for…the issuance of state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards and authorizes grants to assist states in implementing the requirements”.
The Act introduces a REAL ID or Enhanced Drivers License, that contains an RFID chip. This is supposedly necessary to protect us all from terrorism. But to get this E.D.L., you have to present two forms of ID and proof of residency. That’s exactly what you need to get a regular driver’s license, the ones they are no longer accepting, so what’s the difference?
The second part of this act is what will cause headaches for most in 2016. It is as follows: “Federal agencies [are prohibited] from accepting for official uses driver’s licenses…from states unless the [DHS] determines that the state meets the standards. Official uses are defined as accessing Federal facilities, entering nuclear power plants, and boarding Federally-regulated commercial aircraft. If your state doesn’t start offering the REAL ID’s, the government is going to prevent you from flying unless you have your passport and possibly other forms of ID if necessary. Thereby making flying even more difficult for the 99.9% of people who just want to go from point A to point B without driving.
This is just another program rolled out under the guise of keeping us safe, even though most of us are aware that we have nothing but a security theater in our airports. It will do nothing but inhibit free movement of people. An ideal this country was founded on.

This is simply a way to allow for tracking of everyone …. except those that monitor the tracking (the gruberment).
