Albuquerque, New Mexico: A mother had her children kidnapped from the comfort of their own home by the evil unnecessary government entity known as CPS. The dirty deed occurred after she quit going to court ordered counseling that was heavily religious, which made her feel uncomfortable. This ridiculous reason for all this is once again an ignorant and arrogant judge who thinks that his black robe and wooden throne prop him up on a higher echelon than other human beings. The United States was designed to place the people at an advantage with the separation of church and state. So by facing a contempt of court charge, and the possibility of losing her kids she was basically forced to attend the 10 long scolding and belittling conferences.
Holly Salzman called the court following the first meeting with Mary Pepper, an Evangelical Christian fundamentalist counselor, reported KRQE Channel 13.
Salzman stated, “I walked into the session and the very first thing she said to me was, ‘I start my sessions by praying.’” then she spoke up, “expressed my concerns that I didn’t pray she said, ‘well this is what I do’ and she proceeded to say a prayer out loud.” she continued, “We went back to court. I expressed concerns again about the religious overtones and they stated they hadn’t heard any problems concerning Mary Pepper with religion.
So the judge didn’t even want to hear about her grievance with the counselor that he commanded she see, instead his gavel came crashing down to his decision to abduct her children until she completed her tortuous sessions.
Salzman cried “It’s probably the worst thing I’ve ever been through in my life, You don’t have a choice. You do it or you’re held in contempt of court.”
Pepper was recorded preaching to Salzman in the meetings. “The meaning in my life is to know love and serve God,” “If you want to explore how God was in your past, how God was in your life and not in your life… I know you don’t believe in God which is fine but I know at some points he was in your life in some way.” Pepper also sent her home with religious documents and homework tasks.
Pepper said “I’m a private business that people decide to come through or not. The particular person there was interested in analyzing her belief system.” It was uncovered that she wasn’t exactly abiding by the rules and regulations imposed on her. Holding for profit meetings in a library, and the exchange of money inside a public library is disallowed and against city policy. In the video she is outright lying about the context of her counseling, and requests to end the interview as soon as money and wrongdoings are brought into the issue.
ACLU executive director Peter Simonson said, “No one should be put in a position where they are forced to accept training or therapy that violates their own religious beliefs and morals. We’ve got protections in our country under the Bill of Rights that are intended to try to stop that, on the face of it, it looks pretty problematic.”
Salzman concluded with “Every session there was some sort of religion that was intertwined with the sessions, I got a certificate and kicked my heels on the way out.” Just a shame that she couldn’t have her rights protected by the founding document that the royals in the justice system swore an oath to uphold.

Homeless people face this every day. Those who do not accept the requirements, do not get to eat or sleep in a shelter. Homeless have to give up their college classes, because they cannot miss the last call before the door is locked. Homeless cannot sleep in a bed at the shelter unless they listen to the religious sermon. If they choose their liberty over stipulations that go against their beliefs or schedules, they are faced with arrest, property confiscation & destruction, (tents, sleeping bags, etc), and worse. This is not America anymore. Why aren’t towns or counties zoning for the homeless like they do for businesses, schools, residential, AG, manufacturing, high end gated communities, slum neighborhoods, … everyone has a place to go to, except the homeless who do not accept the unconstitutional mandates of others.
